One of Evan's largest desk lamp designs, this Octopod stands 14" tall & 12" across with a spun copper body and hand fabricated portholes with clear blown glass and cast bronze tentacles.

Some of Evan's lamp designs are individual, one-of-a-kind and never to be made again, while others are part of a numbered run. Lamps that are part of an ongoing collection are stamped with their edition number to keep track of how many have been made. Because each piece is made by hand it will differ slightly in finish, feet/tentacle positioning from the one photographed here.

Evan Chambers has always been attracted to objects that have gained their value through the meticulous design and labor of the craft person rather than through the inherent value of the materials used.
