Description

Mounted on 11"x14" white mat in black aluminum frame measuring 12.5"x15.5"

The Amber Damselfly has a wingspan that can reach well over 6 inches. They have the slowest wingbeat of all insects and as such, make absolutely no noise when in flight. Their surreally slow, drifting flight, combined with being largely transparent, makes them eerily specter-like as they drift through the Latin American jungles hunting spiders.

All of the organisms used in Christopher's artwork were thoughtfully, responsibly and viably harvested with regards to preservation of species and respect of life. In creating each piece of finished artwork, careful attention is payed to the meticulous preparation and selection of specimen used, flow of negative space and complimentary coloration. All colors seen are natural and have been protected from fading by UV glass. Do not expose any of Christopher's pieces to high humidity or direct sunlight.
