The Amber Damselfly has a wingspan that can reach well over 6 inches. They have the slowest wingbeat of all insects and as such, make absolutely no noise when in flight. Their surreally slow, drifting flight, combined with being largely transparent, makes them eerily specter-like as they drift through the Latin American jungles hunting spiders.
