Cut antiquarian encyclopedia from 1906 measuring 10"x7"x2.5" with hanger attached to the back of the jacket for mounting. Acrylic panel installed to protect the cut pages which have been left bound and sealed closed.

Using antiquarian books, ephemera artist Alexander Korzer-Robinson is able to present his audience with windows into re-imagined realities with fragments of the past and exploration into nostalgia. The books he uses, having been stripped of their utilitarian value by the passage of time, regain new purpose through his meticulous cutting away of selected pages, no longer tools to learn about the world, but rather a means to gain insight about the tales we weave based on our individual perspectives.
