Mounted on a white mat measuring 24"x30" framed in black aluminum.
This piece is one-of-a-kind.
Like all of the organisms in Christopher Marley's Reclamation collection, this specimen died of natural or incidental causes in captivity. Utilizing a network of hundreds of museums, zoos, breeders and other organizations dedicated to the husbandry of animals, Christopher was able to acquire this pristine specimen after its death, before it was discarded.
Each of Christopher Marley's framed pieces is created with careful attention to the flow of negative space. After being exquisitely prepared and preserved this organism was hermetically sealed in its frame, creating a piece of art that is guaranteed to last a lifetime. Colors are natural and protected by UV glass unless placed in direct sunlight. Do not expose any of Christopher's pieces to high humidity environments.
