Walliserops is a genus of spinose phacopid trilobite, found in Lower to Middle Devonian age rocks. All species of Walliserops possess a three-pronged "trident" that protrudes from the glabella which is little understood. It is highly probable that it it is used in the same way a rhinoceros beetle would use its horns.
