Description

White wing study mounted on 20"x20" white mat in black aluminum frame measuring 21"x21".

A very limited edition, Christopher only mounts a limited number of wing studies each year, all unique and slightly different than the other. Because the grouping you see here may differ slightly from the one we have in stock, please feel free to email us and we are happy to send you pictures before you make your purchase.

This organism was not harmed for the creation of this piece. Like all of the organisms in the Reclamation line, this specimen died of natural or incidental causes in captivity. Christopher Marley utilizes a network of hundreds of museums, zoos, breeders and other organizations dedicated to the husbandry of animals to acquire rare or exotic specimens that would otherwise be discarded. Each is unique and exquisitely prepared, persevered, and hermetically sealed to last for a lifetime.  With the sleek, minimalist background employed, the viewer awakens to facets of design such as texture, color, structure or pattern that may have been elusive in its natural habitat.
