About the Piece
Size: 45” by 32”
This reproduction is from the original hand-colored engraved plates edited by Johann Jacob Haid and Johann Elias Haid with drawings by Georg Dionysius Ehret. The artwork is titled "Arum" and originally published in 1750 by Christoph Jakob Trew as part of the book "Plantae Selectae". The drawing shows pointed olive green leaves extending out from behind a central yellow bloom with pink bulbous base. The artwork has been printed on a fade-resistant, heavy-duty synthetic canvas, with its brilliant colors and accurate detail carefully restored. Hand-mounted with aged timber batons and 100% hemp rope. Each artwork comes rolled and ready to hang, individually wrapped in a protective cotton sock and sturdy cardboard box - perfect for shipping and storing.
